 I remember watching video footage of fans waiting on the elevated highways, trying to catch a glimpse of the victory bus. Some perched on top of gates, shop lots, buildings and some even managed to climb a few sets of traffic lights. It looked so surreal. A celebration untainted by complacency. No one took it for granted. It was pure joy throughout the crowds. All these people really deserve a much bigger celebration when the 19th arrives. Till then, the yanks will never earn my respect. |
